Our Story
Gabi Torres and Marina Uzcátegui first met in Madrid, after each had built a creative career in London. Gabi works in event, portrait and brand photography, as well as creative direction. Marina’s experience is in film, videography and editing.
They saw how naturally their different skills could complement one another. Drawing on their experience of bringing creative productions to life, they created Pic Motion Studio to make thoughtful photography and video for events, brands and individuals, with production support when a project needs it.
Meet the Founders
Founder & Lead PhotographerGabi Torres
Gabi has more than 15 years of professional photography experience, developed across corporate and private events, red carpets, portraits and brand work. Her selected clients include BAFTA, Oxfam, The Trade Desk and DIRECTV, among others.
Her experience also includes leading photography and creative production work for a multi-day, multi-location shoot for Walmart Central America.
Alongside commissioned work, Gabi creates art using vintage Polaroids and has exhibited internationally, including in Paris, London and Milan, with an exhibition in New York coming up. She is also developing Who’s Behind the Camera, a portrait and interview project about people working in the creative industries.
Co-Founder & Lead VideographerMarina Uzcátegui
Marina is a videographer, video editor, camera operator and documentary filmmaker, with more than a decade of experience in video editing. Her work has included press coverage of the Oscars, where she interviewed nominees, and projects for organisations such as the Barbican, Disney, Apple and Accenture. She has also filmed Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
Alongside client work, Marina organises screenings that bring independent films from other countries to new audiences. She is also developing a second documentary project of her own, about comedians from Venezuela called “Reír para no Llorar”
